A platter full of New Shows
As they say, change is the only constant. Changes bring about novelty to an existing pattern. And if that pattern involves what we love the most, we get affected by it too. So happens when an existing timeline of a television channel gets a brand new show.
We at www.getmovieinfo.com follow all these changes very closely and analyze the performance of such shows to understand how well are they received by the audience.
Let’s have look at some new shows that we followed right from the days its promos started airing.
Ishq Subhaan Allah : The first on our list is Ishq Subhaan Allah. Set on a backdrop of Muslim Families based in Lucknow, this show reminds us of previous hit shows such as Qubool hai and Heena.
Airing on Zee TV, This is a love story of Zara (Eisha Singh) and Kabeer (Adnan Khan), who despite difference in opinion, majorly on instant triple talaq, get married and later fall in love. By the looks of the show this Creative Eye Limited show, is bound to break some barriers, as it opened on the TRP charts at a rating of 2.4
Whether this love story survives, amid the politics played by Kabeer’s father, and moralistic resistance of Zara’s, will be worth watching.
Yeh Pyaar Nahi to Kya Hai: Makers of shows Ek Duje ke Vaste, have brought another love story for their viewers, Yeh Pyaar Nahin to Kya hai on the same channel, Sony Entertainment Television.
Shiddhant (Namit Khanna) and Anushka (Palak Jain) are the leads in the show. Much like his old show Ek Duje Ke Vaste, producer Dilip Jha as used the element of nostalgia by showing snippets of the leads’ life as teenagers simultaneously. Though the title track is too melodious to ignore, the show has failed to garner TRPs, as it opened at 0.3 ratings. The reason may be slow starting pace of the show, or the fake accent spoken by the characters, which looks so forced upon them.
Bepannah: This has to be the most talked about show of 2018 so far. Ever Since Jennifer Winget’s last show Beyhadd went off air, the tribulations about her coming back with Bepannnah on Colors TV, were among the rounds in tellywood.
Her being cast opposite mighty Harshad Chopra, made this show all the more intriguing. Aditya (Harshad) and Zoya (Jennifer) meet when their respective spouses Yash (Sehbhan Azim) and Pooja (Namita Dubey) die in a car accident. It is evident that they both were in a relationship and were cheating on Aditya and Zoya. Produced by Cinevastaas Limited, this show, that opened at 2.7 TRP, is a love story of these two broken souls, who will come together to heal each other.
Kulfi Kumarr Bajewala: 4 Lions Films, famous for their Angsty Heros and larger than life female leads, trip and catch Romance, has this time left routine plot and tried to experimented by bringing the story of a small firl, who has music in her genes.
Kulfi Kumarr (Aakriti Sharma) is an abandoned daughter of a famous singer Sikander Singh Gill (Mohit Malik). Originally Based on a Bengali Show, Kulfi Kumarr Bajewala opened up at a rating of 2.0 on the TRP charts. The lead, Aakriti Sharma, is also the voice behind the melodius songs she sings. It will be interesting to watch, how this Star Plus show progresses and whether producer Gul Khan will be able to stick to the new concept that she has chosen for the show.
