Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor recreate magic in 102 Not Out

102 Not Out is slated to hit the screens on May 4, 2018. Check out film’s emotionally sweet teaser here.

Veterans Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan are all set to be back on the big screen after a long span of 25 years. In the film, Senior Bachchan will be seen playing a 102-year-old father to his 75-year-old adorable son. Ever since the film was announced, cinema buffs have been eagerly waiting to see the two together on screen. The first look at the film created quite a stir on the internet. Now, the makers have finally released the teaser this morning. The one-minute teaser with ageless comedy beautifully captures the innocence of Rishi Kapoor’s and Amitabh Bachchan’s characters. In one of the sequences, Amitabh tells Rishi, “I will be the first father of the world who will send his son to an old age home.

Talking about collaborating with good friend and co-star Rishi once again, Amitabh Bachchan said, “Teaming up with Chintuji (Rishi Kapoor) after so many successful historic films, has been the greatest joy. A novel story, competent direction and the most qualified crew, has made the experience of 102 Not Out even greater.”

The film’s director, Umesh Shukla, also shared his excitement about the film. He told a daily, “102 Not Out is a highly entertaining and extremely successful Gujarati play that has won over the youth and family audiences across the board. The idea of adapting it into a Hindi feature came from the fact that the relationship between a parent and a child is universal and the one where love supersedes everything else, including age. Amitabh sir and Rishi sir together are a dream cast for anyone and I sensed a deep responsibility in bringing them together.” Incidentally, Amitabh and Rishi co-starred in films including Coolie, Naseeb, Amar Akbar Anthony and Kabhi Kabhie.
