In the case of the death of veteran actor Sridevi, the Dubai Police has recorded the statement of her husband, Bonnie Kapoor. Sridevi died of accidental drowning after an unconsciousness in the bathtub of a hotel in Dubai.
Sources told Gulf News that Boney Kapoor was called to the Bur Dubai police station for questioning. In this case, the police filed their statement, after which they got the approval to return to the hotel. Indian diplomatic officials told Gulf News that they are trying their best to get the bodies of Sridevi to get all the approvals. However, they did not give a definite time for this process.
Indian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Navdeep Singh Suri had earlier told the Indian media that he had got approval from the Dubai administration to extradite Sridevi’s bodybuilding. However, a diplomatic source told that the public prosecution is being exposed to the new developments in this case. He told that the Indian Embassy is in touch with the Dubai administration for sanction and they hope that it will get approval soon.
The chief prosecutor told Gulf News, “The results of such post-mortem of the accidental deaths and forensic examination are sent to the public prosecutor, after which the official body of the deceased has been issued an official letter to his family or relatives. goes.”
According to the Dubai Media Office, the Dubai Police has transferred the case to the Dubai Public Prosecutor who will follow regular legal procedures in such cases. Initial investigation revealed that Sridevi was killed after being unconscious after being drowned in the bathtub of the hotel room. His body has received samples of alcohol.
Sources say that the Dubai Police has handed over the forensic report of Sridevi’s death to his family and representative of Indian Embassy. However, this envelope has not been opened yet. It has been sent to the Bur Dubai Police Station. Both the representatives have gone to the police station. After opening this envelope with the Dubai Police, its information will be shared with the family and after this, the process of sending the body to India will be started.
