Jisshu Sengupta, who is playing the role of a detective in Anjan Dutt directorial series of Byomkesh for the second time on screen, said that he didn’t feel any pressure to play the character,a role for which Uttam Kumar won a national award.
He said, “At the back of my mind I knew that the role of Byomkesh was played by a great actor. However, during shooting, I never felt any pressure because Dutt has made the film in his own way.”
“In this film, Byomkesh is shown as an enhanced character and also emotionally different from earlier films,” the actor added. Saswata Chatterjee is playing the role of Ajit Bandyopadhyay for the fifth time in the Byomkesh franchise of Dutt. The film’s music director, Neel Dutt, said that music in this film includes “Indian classical elements” which would suit the character of Byomkesh, which has been portrayed in a different light.
