Kangana Ranaut and a few crew members of her team met with an accident on October 12. The Bollywood Queen, who has been shooting for film-maker Hansal Mehta’s movie, Simran, in the US for over a week now. The incident took place when the group was returning from the shooting location, which was outside Georgia, to their hotel in Atlanta, the state’s capital.
When the driver blacked out, Kangana’s local bodyguard, who was sitting next to the driver, tried to “control the car’s movement” by maneuvering the steering wheel. But in that “nervous moment”, he couldn’t control the vehicle, which swerved to the right and cut through three of the highway’s lanes sharply, before banging into an iron fence.
Kangana didn’t take any break. She resumed work the next day itself. The entire unit is stationed there. So, she didn’t want to stall the shoot due to the accident, despite the fact that the makers were ready to take a break.
Simran is being directed by Hansal Mehta and Produced by Bhushan Kumar. National Award winning actress Kangana Ranaut who is known to essay unconventional roles like playing a dacoit in ‘Revolver Rani’ and an athlete in ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ will now be seen playing yet another unconventional role.
Recently, Kangana Ranaut went to the US where she is preparing for her role in forthcoming film Simran. In Hansal Mehta’s directorial venture Simran, Kangana Ranaut will play a Gujarati NRI.
