Actress Shikha Singh of KumKum Bhagya fame has registered a police case against an event organizer for non-payment of dues.
A police complaint of cheating against the organiser has been filed in Ghana. A case of 420 (cheating) under the Indian Penal code (IPC) has been filed.According to the official, Deepak Chaturvedi, an event organiser was yet to pay an amount of Rs 11.30 lakh for the show. He also said that Chaturvedi had approached Shikha for the show which was held in November last year. It was decided that a remuneration of Rs 12 lakh would be paid, of which, Rs 70,000 was paid in advance but the rest of the amount was never paid.
Officials confirmed that Chitalsar police has registered a case under section 420 and investigation is being done on the basis of the case. The actress has also told that the accused had been allegedly evading her.
“A probe is underway. The accused is yet to be traced,” as reported by Times of India quoting Ganpat Pingle, senior inspector of Chitalsar Police station.
Sikha Singh, actress of the popular sitcom KumKum Bhagya, has acted in many serials and is quite a popular face in the Indian television world. She has played the role of Amba in the serial Na Aana Is Desh Laado.
Shikha was in the news last month when she posted a picture with her husband Karan Shah and there was an objectionable comment on the picture saying, “Beautiful. Pl uploads some hottest poses with bikini or microminis as new year gift (sic).” She had filed a complaint against an official from the Regional Transport Office (RTO), Maharashtra for the sleazy comment.
The actress felt that as a celebrity she should dare to speak up. She had revealed the man’s identity and exposed him in public.
