Muvizz.com organises a special screening of the short-film ‘Amrita & I’
The VOD platform acquires distribution rights for the short film
31st May 2017, Mumbai: Today, Muvizz.com an Over The Top (OTT) or Video On Demand (VOD) platform organized a special screening for a short film ‘Amrita & I’. The screening was attended by the cast Shruti Ulfat and Jay Yadav along with other industry personalities like Tisca Chopra, Tara Alisha Berry and Shweta Gulati. The 18 minutes short film based on the life of veteran poet Amrita Pritam will be released on Muvizz’s platform. They will also be distributing the short film to other digital portals and various other platforms.
‘Amrita and I’ is a biopic about veteran poet Amrita Pritam. The Sumit Mishra directorial short film is a love story about a painter named Imroz and Amrita. The most beautiful moments of her life were spent with Imroz however, they never tied the nuptial knot. They became lifelong companions, admiring and motivating each other’s creative energy, until one day Amrita’s soul left her body, but she never left Imroz she still lives through her poems and will continue to live through Imroz’s paintings. This visually capturing movie is an attempt to relive those beautiful moments between Imroz and Amrita through Imroz’s memory lane.
