Regional movies we would like to see in Bollywood
It’s amazing to see how regional cinema is being appreciated by audiences all over. In recent times we have seen many movies from regional cinema doing exceptionally well, each making a landmark of its own. These movies are also earning great amount of commercial success, bollywood is also opening up their voices and support towards regional content. While many of the directors and producers are planning to buy the rights of these movies and remake the movies in some other language. Below are the some of the regional movies that we enjoyed a lot and would love to see their remake in Bollywood.
Sairat – A Marathi movie, made on a very common story but the direction and the acting calibre of the actors made it so real that people could actually connect to it. The film became a historic landmark in Marathi cinema!
Thithi – This Kananda movie made by Ram Reddy with all the non professional actors depicting a story of 3 generations of men reacting to death. This film also won National award for Best Feature Film in Kannada.
The Good Road – This Gujarati movie features many stories in hyperlink format, where several stories are intertwined, with the center of the action being a highway in the rural lands of Gujarat near Kutch.
Sardaarji – It is the highest grossing movie of Punjabi Film Industry till date. It’s a fantasy movie and there is a sequel to the movie coming by the end of this month!
